Tamera Mowry-Housley Talks Why She Stayed Celibate Until Her Wedding Day (VIDEO)

Tamera Mowry-Housley made a candid confession during a recent trip to Hot97's studio in New York. The 35-year-old actress was joined by her co-hosts Jeannie Mai, Tamar Braxton, Adrienne Bailon and Loni Love to promote their new talk show "The Real."

During the discussion Mowry-Housley revealed that she had stayed a virgin until she was 29.

"I don't know how to explain this. I'm religious, so I waited until I was 29 to lose my virginity," the actress said. "You may not understand this [but] I did it, then I felt guilty, then I became celibate until I got married."

Feeling a little flushed after the confession the "Sister Sister" star said that just because she stayed a virgin for so long doesn't mean her bedroom skills are lacking. Bailon, who famously dated Rob Kardashian, jumped to her friend's defense.

"Just because you only had sex with one person doesn't mean you're not a freak, and I think that that's a good thing," she said. "I think people think that you could only be a freak by doing it with a bunch of people. You can be a freak and just be a freak with one person. That is beautiful and dope."

The new mom married Fox News correspondent Adam Housley in May 2011 and welcomed their first child, Aden, in November.

"Adam and I feel very blessed to finally be holding our son," Mowry-Housley told Style magazine. "He is a beautiful miracle, and our hearts are overflowing with love. Thank you to everyone for your love and support. It means so much to our family."

Her husband also gushed about the new addition to their family saying that they were "so happy."

"[Aden] is healthy, happy, strong, beautiful and our families are so excited to have another grandchild, cousin and nephew."
