Starbucks is at it again.
The coffee giant's brand, Evolution Fresh, is looking to expand its assortment of beverages, and it is partnering with yogurt maker Dannon to add smoothies and parfaits to its list of drinkable goodness.
After a successful pilot test last year of the Evolution Fresh smoothie, Starbucks will make three flavors available in May, according to Investors.com.
The new flavors are strawberry, mango carrot and sweet greens, and the products will be made using Starbucks' cold-pressed juice and Dannon's yogurt. They can be customized with special additions, such as kale or protein powder for the health nuts out there.
Smoothies will be made available in 4,300 locations in the Pacific Northwest, Northern California and certain in-supermarket coffee spots.
Starbucks' lofty, yet totally attainable goal is to double its food sales in five years with the launch of an evening menu and a "small-batch artisan coffee" concept, Investors.com reported.
Pilot delivery programs in New York and Seattle are also being considered, along with a mobile ordering and paying service.
