SpaceX and NASA Target International Space Station Resupply Date, Dragon Launch Scheduled

NASA and SpaceX have decided that April 13 is the target date for the next cargo launch from Cape Canaveral to the ISS, according to Orlando's CBS affiliate WKMG.

The launch window will allow for liftoff at 4:33 p.m. EDT from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

This will be SpaceX's sixth unmanned mission using a Dragon cargo capsule. The Commercial Resupply Contract with NASA was originally valued at $1.6 billion, according to WKMG. The cargo capsule will deliver more than 4,300 pounds of food and other supplies to the crew aboard the orbiting laboratory.

If the Dragon launch is postponed, liftoff will be scheduled for April 14 at 4:10 p.m. EDT.
