Milla Jovovich and Husband Paul W.S. Anderson Welcome Daughter Dashiel Edan — See First Pic of Newborn

Milla Jovovich is now a mommy of two.

The 39-year-old "Resident Evil" actress and her husband director and producer Paul W.S. Anderson welcomed their second child together on Wednesday, a daughter named Dashiel Edan. Jovovich took to Instagram Thursday to share the first photo of her newborn.

"We are so proud to announce the birth of our second daughter Ms. Dashiel Edan Jovovich-Anderson today!!! She is 7lbs. 10 oz. and 20 inches long! We love you Dash! #ladiary," the actress captioned the photo.

"Milla delivered her daughter Dashiel at 5:45 this morning," a representative for the actress told E! News. "Everyone is thrilled and beyond happy. Milla is in cuddle mode with her new daughter!"

Jovovich's rep told People Magazine that she, her husband, and their seven-year-old daughter, Ever Gabo Anderson, are overjoyed to welcome Dashiel Edon into their family and are all spending some quality bonding time together.

"Both mama and baby are doing great," the rep added.

The day before giving birth, Jovovich took to Twitter to reveal that she was past her due date, writing, "Hey every1! I'm officially one day overdue with my pregnancy. It could happen anytime, so we're packed, ready, but on the edge of our seats!"

The actress, who portrays Alice in all "Resident Evil" installments, announced her pregnancy last August and told fans that production for the film had to be postponed because she was unable to film in her physical condition..

"So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone's best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie," Jovovich added. "Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn't think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo! Lol! I imagine the only thing I'll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes."

She continued: "In all seriousness though, we want to make the best movie possible and that would be extremely difficult, to say the least, in my present condition. I would like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has been working so hard on the movie in South Africa already and we are so looking forward to working with you all next summer. And when we arrive, it will hopefully be with the newest member of our little family! YAY!"
