Comedy legends Bob Odenkirk and David Cross were the two minds behind HBO's "Mr. Show," and, although it only lasted for three years, the show achieved cult status.
Odenkirk and Cross eventually gained more fame through other projects, "Breaking Bad" and "Arrested Development," respectively, but the duo is getting back together 20 years after "Mr. Show" first aired to lead a new show.
According to Deadline, a new sketch comedy show from the duo has been picked up by Netflix.
"With Bob and David" will have four 30-minute episodes on the streaming service. There will also be an hour-long making-of feature on the pair reuniting to make the series.
There had been rumors that "Mr. Show" might get a revival or the creators of it had something in the works ever since comedian Paul F. Tompkins tweeted out a photo of the old show's cast in December, teasing: "Maybe something new coming from the Mr. Show gang in the new year?"
A premiere date for the show has not yet been set, but Deadline reports that production is already underway. Between this project and playing the titular character on AMC's "Breaking Bad" spinoff "Better Call Saul," Odenkirk is a busy man.
