Ryan Reynolds' daughter James is still three-months-old, but that isn't stopping the new dad from picking out potential jobs for her future.
In an interview with "Today" show's Willie Geist, the 38-year-old actor revealed that he wants his daughter with wife Blake Lively to have a normal life, which also includes getting a normal job as a barista or flight attendant.
"I worry that my daughter's going to want to go into show business!" the actor admitted. "You know, you worry about really stupid stuff. And you sorta sit there and go, 'Oh gosh, is she gonna wanna do this?' I like to whisper in her ear, like, really normal everyday jobs."
Reynolds admitted that he says things like, "You're going to be a flight attendant. A barista! Just normal, wonderful jobs that you can have a nice, normal life [doing]."
However, the "Deadpool" actor doesn't want James to become a scantily clad Dallas Cowboys cheerleader either, adding, "although I imagine it's an exciting job."
The actor has a few projects in the works but told "Today" that he is determined to always put his family first, sharing that he and his wife will take turns working.
"That's the priority," he said. "You never cross over. You never work at the same time. You make sure that we're all together. It involves a little bit of sacrifice, but that's a small, small sacrifice for the grand scheme of things."
When it comes to his daughter, Reynolds also admitted that he is super protective, saying, "I used to say to [Blake], 'I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you'... And the second I looked in that baby's eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby."
