A Missouri woman whose car was stolen ended up having the last laugh when it was returned to her two days later completely pimped out.
Becky Schoenig's black 2015 Ford Fusion was stolen last Monday from her driveway in St. Charles County, Miss., ABC News reported. Thanks to a Good Samaritan, her car was returned on Wednesday- but with red rims and a red streak on the side.
"I want to thank the car thieves for pimping out my vehicle for me," Schoenig, who is married with two kids, wrote on Facebook.
After it was stolen, the hybrid ended up in a St. Louis neighborhood about 20 miles away, where a man named Mick Sexton saw the car on Tuesday and recognized it from a Facebook picture posted by a mutual friend with Schoenig, KSDK-TV reported.
He called 911 and the vehicle was recovered and returned to its owner on April Fools' Day.
Schoenig said she is a firm believer in karma and that sending out positive energy will make good things come. So instead of breaking down over her stolen car, she decided not to take it too seriously.
"Everybody was laughing, I was having fun with hit," she told ABC News. "It looks like it's a pimped out vehicle...but they still did a lot of damage to my car."
In this case, karma was swift- the alleged thieves were caught and arrested. Schoenig plans on returning her car to the way it was.
