ABC News has confirmed the interview between Bruce Jenner and Diane Sawyer.
The veteran news anchor will sit down with Jenner to discuss his transition on Friday, April 24 in a special edition of "20/20," according to Deadline. The two-hour episode is being called "Bruce Jenner - The Interview" and will air at 9 p.m. on ABC.
Last month, E! put Jenner's upcoming docu-series on hold in the wake of his fatal car accident. The series was originally scheduled to premiere soon after the 10th season finale of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and will chronicle the former Olympian's transition from a man to a woman.
ABC News has changed the interview to incorporate the February accident that left one woman dead when Jenner's vehicle hit her car and launched it into oncoming traffic on the Pacific Coast Highway. It will be Jenner's first time discussing his transition to a major news outlet.
The father of six (plus step-father to the four Kardashian children) reportedly will reveal his transition in an upcoming episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
