After getting cruelly thrown out of a moving car in Milwaukee, Buffy the cat was saved and cared for by a good Samaritan.
"I saw someone throw her out of a moving car," Julissa Rivera told the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) after she rescued Buffy off the street. "She ran right to me and I scooped her up."
Buffy, who was named by Rivera, is only four-weeks-old and is too young to survive on her own. WHS said Buffy will live with a foster parent until she is strong enough to be put up for adoption.
When Buffy was rescued she was hungry, but otherwise healthy, Fox 6 Now reported.
"We were just really stunned to hear such a story. It's such a senseless act of cruelty, but thankfully matched by an act of compassion," Angela Speed, WHS Vice President of Communications, told Fox 6 Now.
Rivera is unable to adopt Buffy herself because she has neighbors in her building who are allergic to cats, which is why she brought the little feline to WHS.
"At a young age, she went through a lot, so I feel like she should find a place that will love her and show her the attention that she needs for the rest of her life, Rivera told Fox 6 Now.
It's unclear when Buffy will be available for adoption.
