Don't mess with Taylor Swift and Lorde's friendship.
OK! Magazine reported recently that the celebrity BFF's were allegedly fighting about recording a song together. A source claimed that the two had different opinions about the collaboration after Swift offered the "Royals" singer a song to record, but she refused, saying that their voices didn't "mesh well" together.
"Lorde loves Taylor but she thinks that their voices have completely different sounds and they won't mesh well together," the report read. "Taylor was pretty disappointed with her reaction."
Despite the age difference between the two, both singers are shaking off the rumors.
"Media, when you say 'Lorde & Taylor are fighting'-by fighting do you mean 'FaceTiming constantly from US to NZ and LOLing at you?'" Swift, 25, wrote on Twitter Monday. "Thnx bye."
Lorde, 18, shared the post and added, "Sisters are doin' it for themselves @taylorswift13."
Us Weekly reported that Swift and Lorde are inseparable when they're in the same time zone, adding "They've enjoyed time at Swift's Rhode Island mansion, a vacation on Catalina Island, and hikes together in Los Angeles."
In 2014, Lorde opened up about potentially collaborating with Swift in an interview with Capital FM radio, saying that their musical styles could complement each other.
"Yeah we are [different] but I think the cool thing about Taylor is she is pretty willing to go a lot of places with music," she explained. "I think that last record [Red] in particular, everyone was like 'Woah.' And I think with an artist like her, the sky is the limit."
