Denver Broncos RUMORS: Aqib Talib Under Investigation For Aggravated Assault In Dallas?

Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was questioned and is now under investigation for an aggravated assault which occurred early Wednesday morning in Dallas, Texas, according to a report from Rebecca Lopez of WFAA in Dallas.

"Dallas Police Department sources say NFL cornerback Aqib Talib and his brother are under investigation for an aggravated assault early Wednesday morning at a downtown Dallas nightclub," Lopez reports.

Talib and his brother were questioned at the scene but subsequently allowed to leave.

The Dallas police department has not yet released any details of the assault as they are still gathering evidence, though vehicles owned by Talib and his brother were towed, per Lopez.

Talib, the former 20th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2008 NFL Draft, reached his second Pro Bowl last season after amassing 58 tackles, four interceptions and one forced fumble for the Broncos en route to a Denver postseason berth.

This is not the first time Talib, who has a reputation for a quick temper, has gotten in trouble with the law, the league or otherwise.

As a rookie, Talib fought with fellow Bucs draft pick Cory Boyd at the rookie symposium. In May 2009, Talib struck fellow Tampa Bay teammate Torrie Cox near the eye with his helmet while fighting with another teammate.

Talib was arrested in August 2009 for simple battery and resisting arrest for allegedly assaulting a cab driver. He reached an undisclosed settlement with the driver and was handed a one-game suspension by the NFL.

In March 2011, Talib and his mother were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a fight with Talib's sister's boyfriend. Talib was accused of firing shots during an altercation on a residential street.

The charges were eventually dropped.

Finally, in October 2012, Talib was suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Talib claimed the positive test was due to Adderall.
