On Wednesday, Sabra announced the recall involving 10-ounce, 30-ounce and 32-ounce packages, 17-ounce Six-Pack packages and 23.5-ounce Dual Packs.
According to the company's recall announcement: "Listeria monocytogenes is an organism, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
"To date, there have been no reports indicating that these products have caused any illness."
