Justin Bieber may have turned over a new leaf, but his past legal troubles still linger.
An Argentine judge ordered the arrest of Bieber on Friday after he failed to face questions about an alleged assault in 2013, according to The Associated Press. Bieber would be arrested if he steps foot into the South American country.
The incident involved a local photographer, Diego Pesoa, who accused Bieber and one of his bodyguards of attacking him outside a Buenos Aires nightclub. Pesoa alleged that the pop star ordered his bodyguards to attack him.
The entertainment website FarandulaShow posted the original court order in which Judge Alberto Julio Banos ordered the "immediate detention" of Bieber and his bodyguards Hugo Alcides Hesny and Terrence Reche Smalls.
Under Argentine law, the 21-year-old singer could face anywhere from one month to six years in prison if convicted on a "charge of causing injuries," according to the AP.
"Now we just need to wait for the police to find him and bring him" to Argentina, Pesoa's lawyer Matias Morla told local station Telefe Noticias (via AP). "For us, this is a triumph against all those who said this case was a bluff and that we didn't have anything."
Bieber performed in Buenos Aires for his "Believe" world tour in 2013.
