Kourtney Kardashian was noticeably absent as her sisters traveled to Armenia this week.
The elder sister remained stateside as Kim and Khloe Kardashian made their first visit to the country of their father Robert Kardashian's family. The sisters went to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide for the 100th anniversary.
Kourtney revealed in an Instagram post on Friday that her three children kept her from making the trip. She gave birth to her youngest, Reign, in December.
"I wish I was in Armenia with my sisters on#siblingsday!" the 35-year-old mom wrote. "I didn't end up going to Armenia because it was making me too anxious with three young children. I do wish that I could have experienced the trip with my sisters but I do know that we will all go to Armenia together someday."
Kim and Khloe traveled with Kim's husband Kanye West and daughter North as well as other family members. They met with the Armenian prime minister and visited the Armenia Genocide Memorial.
Armenia will recognize the 100th anniversary of the genocide, instigated by the Ottoman Empire, on April 24. On that date in 1915, 250 Armenian intellectuals and community leaders were rounded up in Constantinople. Throughout the Great War, an estimated 1 to 1.5 million people were killed under the Ottoman government.
