Prince Harry was clearly excited to become an uncle and he couldn't be happier now that his nephew is finally here. Before the royal baby was even born Prince Harry was dubbed as the "world's greatest uncle" by the Birmingham Mail.
With the birth of the royal baby he was bumped down from third to fourth in line for the throne but he doesn't seem to care.
"Obviously I'm thrilled for both of them," he said in an interview while in Helmand Province the Birmingham Mail reports. "It's about time. I can't wait to be an uncle."
Prince Harry does have some experience with children and he definitely likes to have fun. He is a patron of WellChild, an organization that cares for the needs of sick children and their families. He even founded a charity, Sentebale, which aims to help "Lesotho's most needy and vulnerable children," the website states. He founded the organization in 2006 along with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.
The younger brother of Prince William has made headlines several times for his antics like when he was photographed naked in Las Vegas. According to TMZ, the Prince had invited some random women he met while in Vegas to his hotel room where he stripped naked after losing a game of billiards. He did apologize for the incident saying that he was not "acting like a Prince" but the birthday suit incident must have impressed the mayor of Las Vegas since he was invited back whenever he feels like it.
It's safe to say the 28-year-old won't be teaching his nephew anything like that. Birmingham Mail feels because of his playful and outgoing personality he will be "well placed to entertain the royal infant."
According to the Mirror, Prince Harry could very well end becoming a godfather to the royal baby as well. He, along with Pippa Middleton, are rumored to be among the couples favorites for godparents. Also on the list are close friends, including Prince William's pals James Meade and Thomas van Straubenzee who delivered the best man speech together at the royal wedding and some of Kate Middleton's college classmates. Also rumored to be in the running for the role as godfather, is David Beckham who became close to the couple during the Olympic campaign.
