A couple who lost their black Labrador during a Tennessee vacation nearly six months ago was reunited with their doggy friend.
Although David and Victoria Rosenquist were just visitors, the local community joined together to help find Jack the lab, reported The Tennessean.
Jack is afraid of strangers, but one family who recognized Jack from the search lured him into their home over the course of several weeks with food.
Once he was found, the Rosenquists were contacted and they drove 16 hours from their Minnesota town to reunite with their lost pup.
"If I talk about my feelings I'll cry," Rosenquist told The Tennessean. "I would not have been able to leave Tennessee if I couldn't trust people who said they would continue to search."
It's believed that Jack was clipped by a car when he was lost on his six-month journey alone. He also lost nearly 30 pounds on his endeavor.
When the Rosenquist's took Jack to a veterinarian they were reassured that the dog is healthy, despite a couple of ticks.
Now Jack is just happy to be back home in Minnesota with his favorite humans.
