Florence Welch went full rock star this weekend during Florence + The Machine's performance at Coachella, and she's paying dearly for it.
Welch leaped into the crowd during the Sunday set, and in the process, she broke her foot. She posted a photo of the X-ray on her Instagram along with a note apologizing for a more subdued performance when she returns to Coachella this weekend.
"Unfortunately, while this heals, my performances will have to be somewhat stripped back," she captioned the photo. "I'm so sorry, I'm pretty devastated, but I still want to do the shows. I understand this is not what you were expecting, but I hope its just as enjoyable. I'm going to try and make it super special for you."
The lead singer hopes her foot heals by the time Florence + The Machine perform at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K. The music festival kicks off on June 24.
"By the time Glastonbury rolls around I should be back on my feet. This album was so much about making something from what was broken, so lets see what we can do with this," Welch wrote.
Florence + The Machine will be back on stage at Coachella on Sunday, April 19.
