Twitter is looking to get users who don't have an account interested in its service with a new homepage that lets them look at different tweets.
The new homepage, introduced Wednesday, not only presents a new attractive look for users who aren't logged in, but it also gives visitors a chance to look at a selection of tweets without having to sign in, according to Tech Times. Visitors will be able to see tweets from a variety of topics, including Cute, Animals, Pop Artists and Politics.
The social networking giant has been trying to explain to its backers that it has a large amount of users that don't register into the site, reporting in February that it had 288 million active users, though Wall Street analysts were expecting 295 million users.
"People who log in get the full experience: they can browse the complete catalog of public Tweets, Tweet themselves or engage with Tweets they see," Twitter wrote in a blog post. "Today, we're making a big change for the many millions of people who visit every month who don't log in, but still want to know what's happening."
Visitors previously had to sign up for an account in order to see what's happening on Twitter, The Verge reported.
Twitter has over 500 million people who aren't sign in visiting its site each month, and 125 million of these people go directly to Twitter.com.
The new homepage is currently only available on desktops in the U.S., but Twitter said it will keep making improvements to the page and plans on expanding its launch in the future.
