A group of top physicians are demanding that Dr. Oz be removed from the Columbia University faculty for his "egregious lack of integrity."
These allegations against the famous doctor from "The Dr. Oz Show" were made in a letter co-written by 10 Columbia University doctors that was sent to the dean, which was later obtained by The Associated Press.
"Dr. Oz has repeatedly shown disdain for science and for evidence-based medicine," the letter reads.
The university responded in a statement to the AP that said the school "is committed to the principle of academic freedom and to upholding faculty members' freedom of expression for statements they make in public discussion."
Despite the university's statement, Oz admitted last year that some of the products he advised his viewers to use "don't have the scientific muster to present as fact" when he stood before a U.S. Senate panel.
Since his honest reveal, Oz has continued to occasionally teach at the university, reported AP.
