Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott survived a scary ride on her way to the Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday morning.
Scott, her husband and tour manager had to evacuate their tour bus when the tire caught fire. The group was traveling from Nashville to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where the awards will be held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
"Everyone is safe and sound," the singer wrote on her Instagram along with a photo of the burned out bus. "Thanking God for our safety and the safety of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe."
The entire back of the bus, where Scott was sleeping, was consumed in the flames except for one particular item. The mother of daughter Eisele was able to recover her Bible in the rubble.
"I kid you not, EVERYTHING in the back lounge was destroyed from the flames, except my Bible," she wrote on Instagram with a photo of the precious item. "The outside cover was burned and messed up but NOT ONE PAGE was missing."
The bus driver acted quickly when he realized the bus had caught fire, getting everyone off the bus and calling 911, Garland Fire Department Captain Billy Craven told the local NBC affiliate in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Scott was not traveling in her regular tour bus, but her publicist Mary Hilliard did not say why it wasn't available, she told NBCDFW.com.
The Academy of Country Music Awards will air on Sunday, April 19 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
