AT&T Expands 4G LTE Network To 7 New Markets

AT&T has announced the expansion of its largest 4G LTE coverage in the nation to 7 new markets in an effort to achieve its goal of having 400 4G LTE lit areas by the end of 2013.

Faster internet speed on the go has become more of a basic necessity than a luxury in the United States. Demand for faster speed and better coverage has been increasing.

AT&T, the largest mobile telephone service company in the United States, is on the verge to reach its set target of 400 4G LTE lit areas by the end of 2013. The latest step is just another proof of its leading 4G coverage in the nation.

AT&T announced, Wednesday that it has expanded its 4G LTE coverage to seven new markets including Sussex County, Delaware; Columbia, Missouri; Vallejo, California; Merced, California; New London, Connecticut; Greenville, Alabama; Troy, Alabama. Earlier Wednesday, Ma Bell also expanded its network in Hartford, Connecticut; Pocatello, Idaho; Manchester-Nashua and Springfield, Massachusetts and Tacoma, Washington, according to a press release.

The AT&T 4G LTE speed in new areas will allow browsing, downloading, streaming and uploading all at a faster speed. Additionally, it offers better reliability and scope for new devices in the market compatible with faster speeds.

In a competitive market, where all service providers want to stay ahead of others, another telecom giant, Sprint has introduced 4G LTE in parts of New York City, joining the race to attract more customers who want faster speed.

AT&T has reached a total of 336 markets in the United States that offer 4G LTE service to over 270 million customers.
