NFL News: Two Teams Could be Be Moving to L.A.

There has been talk of putting an NFL team in Los Angeles for many years. Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager said Saturday the idea is, “closer than ever” to becoming a reality, according to NFL.com.

He appeared on the NFL Network Wednesday to further discuss the comments he made over the weekend.

"I feel more imminent about a team being in here, that it's more imminent than any time since we haven't had a team in Los Angeles," said Jones, a native of California. "And yes, this market is a huge market, it's a little bit of a black eye for all of us to have had this many years and not had an NFL team in Los Angeles.

"The owners don't mess much up ... but we haven't gotten this one right,” he continued. “There's people, there's locations, there are people that are interested, a lot of people that can help us put this thing together. And as it turns out that we have at least two teams ... that could move to this area."

The only question left to ask is: From where would L.A. get these one or two teams?

"There won't be any expansion," explained Jones. "So it will be teams that move."

Although nothing is set in stone, there is always good reason to believe Jerry Jones when it comes to business and the NFL (two things in which he has found success.)

Having a team in L.A. would give the NFL a major upside. The bright lights and celebrity environment could bring more publicity to a sport that’s already growing in popularity.
