The Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers battle on Sunday in the first round of the 2015 NBA playoffs. Tipoff is at 3 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream or listen to the radio broadcast via the links included at the bottom of the preview.
Cleveland (53-29) struggled at the start of the season as the team worked to get acclimated to a drastically revamped roster and a first-year coach. While a handful of the players - LeBron James, James Jones, Mike Miller and Shawn Marion - have been in the playoffs before and have the rings to prove it, most of Cleveland's players will be playing in their first postseason game, including stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
"This probably will be the biggest game I've played in," Irving told the Associated Press.
Cleveland's veteran leadership, headed by James, will be paramount of the Cavaliers' first-timers. One of the most important lessons the four-time MVP will likely tell the young team is that records no longer matter come mid-April.
"Everyone's 0-0 when you get to this point, so our whole game plan right now is giving ourselves a chance to win," said James.
Blatt, who's in his first season as an NBA head coach, echoed James's remarks.
"It's not sensible and it's not correct to put the cart before the horse," Blatt said. "We've got a lot of tough basketball ahead of us to get anywhere. That's why I think it's a little unfair for people to start claiming that we should do this and do that.
"We haven't done anything as a team yet at this stage."
After trading star point guard Rajon Rondo, the Celtics, seemingly against all odds, made a strong push down the stretch and snagged the East's seventh seed. Boston heads into Sunday's first-round game on a six game winning streak.
