According to Twitter, Jackie Chan is dead... Again.
Luckily, fans of the famous martial arts actor need not worry, as the persistent rumors are merely a hoax perpetuated online for an unknown reason. Jackie Chan's death was rumored to have occurred last month as well, forcing the 59-year-old actor to take to Facebook with a newspaper showing that day's date in order to dispel any rumors that he has passed away.
Similar to the previous rumors, the newest rumors of Chan's death involve the stunt man falling to his death while performing a stunt for a movie that involved a 12-story building. Chan is well known for performing all of his own stunts in the action roles he plays such as "Rush Hour," "Around the World in 80 Days" and "The Karate Kid."
Back in June the actor wrote on his Facebook to clear up rumors saying: "Hi everybody! Yesterday, I got on a 3am flight from India to Beijing. I didn't get a chance to sleep and even had to clean my house when I got home. Today, everybody called to congratulate me on my rumored engagement. Afterward, everybody called me to see if I was alive.
If I died, I would probably tell the world! I took a photo with today's date, just in case you don't believe me! However, thank you all for your concern. Kiss kiss and love you all!
P.S. My dog is healthy, just like me! He doesn't need surgery! By the way, my dogs are golden retrievers, not Labradors."
Chan has not commented on the current circulation of rumors about his death, mainly because he has technically already cleared up this particular death rumor a month ago, as for why it's resurfacing this time around, no one knows. However, the kung-fu star is probably too busy filming "The Expendables 3" to confirm that he's alive every month.
