An injury that landed Derek Hough in the emergency room overnight may have jeopardized his future not only on "Dancing with the Stars" but also his show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
His friend and "DWTS" pro dancer Mark Ballas escorted Hough to the ER accompanied by his girlfriend, singer Britney Jean Carlson, and his father Corky, also a professional dancer. Ballas posted a photo of him pushing Hough in a wheelchair as they both gave the camera sad faces.
"Long night in the ER with @derekhough nothing worse than seeing a fellow dancer get hurt especially your brother," Ballas captioned the photo.
Hough and Ballas both remain in competition for the coveted Mirror Ball on "DWTS" with their partners Nastia Liukin and Willow Shields, respectively. The 29-year-old Hough is also starring in the New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall opposite Lauren Benanti, but his now-deleted Instagram photo showed he could have a problem continuing with both shows.
The picture revealed Hough sustained injuries to both of his feet. According to Entertainment Tonight, he captioned his photo, "Just getting home from the hospital. Not the best of news. I'm in utter disbelief."
The New York Spring Spectacular is scheduled to run through May 3. "Dancing with the Stars" will air its finale about a week after that.
"Dancing with the Stars" airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
