Former Minnesota Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is very critical of how President Barack Obama is handling the nuclear deal talks with Iran. So critical that she believes the rapture is coming and it is Obama's fault.
"We need to realize how close this clock is getting to the midnight hour," she explained to "End Times" host Jan Markell on Monday's edition of the radio show.
Bachmann believes there is a chance Jesus Christ could come back to earth and, if he does, destruction will ensue.
"We in our lifetimes potentially could see Jesus Christ returning to earth and the rapture of the church," Bachmann said. "We see the destruction, but this was a destruction that was foretold."
She then directly cited Obama's talks with Iran, which have been well-documented, to say the least.
"We are literally watching, month by month, the speed move up to a level we've never seen before with these events," Bachmann said. "Barack Obama is intent. It is his number one goal to ensure that Iran has a nuclear weapon."
After noting Obama's negotiations with Iran, Bachmann accused him of helping radical Islam.
"If you look at the president's rhetoric, and if you look at his actions, everything he has done has been to cut the legs out of Israel and lift up the agenda of radical Islam," she said.
Bachmann's blame was not just focused on Obama's foreign policy. She also inferred that if the United States continues to "push away" God's principles, the nation is doomed. Presumably she is talking about marriage equality and abortion, as The Huffington Post points out.
"Any nation that accepts God and his principles is blessed, and those who push away are cursed. That's what we're seeing happen to the United States," she said. "We will suffer the consequences as a result."
