Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are officially over!
Stone and Garfield have called it quits on their more than three-year relationship that began on the set of the first "Amazing Spider-Man" movie, according to Us Weekly.
The 26-year-old actress "ended things and moved back to L.A.," a source told Us. "It's finished. It's not just a break."
What had Stone walking out the door? Her 31-year-old boyfriend changed dramatically due to the dedication he showed for his upcoming part in the new Martin Scorsese film, "Silence."
He lost nearly 40 pounds to prepare for his role as a 17th-century Jesuit and has been filming in Taiwan since January.
"He'd been in a dark place for months, getting into his role," another source told Us. "He wasn't being the best partner."
The first sign of trouble came when Stone walked the Oscars red carpet with her mother and not Garfield. They have not been seen in public together since January when Stone was starring on Broadway in "Cabaret."
The combination of arguments and conflicting schedules eventually resulted in breaking up.
"They had been fighting a lot and they hadn't seen each other. They have both been working but they weren't getting along," a source told Us Weekly on April 7.
Stone will next star in the Cameron Crowe movie, "Aloha," opposite Bradley Cooper, which opens on May 29.
