A SkyWest flight that took off from Chicago on Wednesday morning heading for Connecticut had to make an emergency landing in Buffalo, N.Y. due to pressurization problems.
One passenger lost consciousness, according to CNN.
SkyWest flight 5622 took off around 10 a.m.EST from O'Hare International Airport and after being in the air for an hour began to experience pressure issues.
At one point, the pilot dropped the altitude for the plane from 37,000 feet to 10,000 feet over a seven-minute span in a successful attempt to stabilize pressure, according to FlightAware, a site that tracks the activity of all planes.
According to CBS News, oxygen masks were deployed for the passangers.
The flight landed safely at Buffalo Niagara International Airport at 11:40 a.m.
