Paris Hilton is mourning the loss of her most adorable companion, her beloved dog Tinkerbell.
The famous Chihuahua, who appeared on Hilton's reality show "The Simple Life and Paris Hilton's My New BFF" and made appearances at red carpet events, late night shows and fashion shows, died this week at the age of 14, which is 98 in dog years, PEOPLE reported.
The 34-year-old celebrity took to Instagram to let her fans know about Tinkerbell's passing and pay tribute to her canine friend by posting several memorable photos of her and Tinkerbell together.
"My heart is broken. I am so sad & devastated. After 14 amazing years together my baby Tinkerbell has passed away of old age," Hilton personality captioned a photo on her Instagram of her embracing Tinkerbell. "I feel like I've lost a member of my family. She was such a special & incredible soul. We went through so much together. I can't believe she's gone."
"We went through so much together, I can't believe she's gone. I will miss her & think about her for the rest of my life. I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten, #RIPTinkerbell," she continued.
She also thanked fans for their support, writing "Thank you for all so much for your kind words & condolences. It's really helping me through this very sad & painful time. It feels good to know that Tinkerbell was loved by all & touched the lives of so many. She is truly missed."
"Such a sad day," the socialite's sister, Nicky Hilton, tweeted to fans. "We lost the sweetest, kindest soul #RIPTinkerbell."
