Kylie Jenner Weighs in on the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge After Fans Get Disturbing and Gross Results

It's been the internet's latest craze. Fans of Kylie Jenner have been attempting to copy her famous pucker by performing a viral challenge called the "Kylie Jenner Challenge."

To get the 17-year-old's puffy plump lips, fans are placing a cup over their mouths and sucking all the air out of it and later posting it onto social media with the hashtag #KylieJennerChallenge. However, some experimenters aren't too happy with the results after the challenge left their lips bruised, swollen or abnormally shaped.

Jenner, who did not start the challenge, took to Twitter to speak out against the challenge and urge her fans to love themselves.

"I'm not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look," she wrote. "I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look."

Dermatologic surgeon Dendy Engelman also commented on the challenge to Seventeen Magazine, saying, "The new trend in trying to DIY lip plumping is quite concerning. Not only can significant pain, swelling, and bruising result from these suction techniques, but there is potential risk for scarring and permanent disfigurement with repeated attempts."

The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star has continuously denied having had any plastic surgery.

"Stop talking about my lips," she told Grazia Daily. "I haven't had plastic surgery. I've never been under the knife. People flash back to pictures of me when I was 12 and say 'Kylie's so different,' but how can I look the same from 12 -18?"
