Are the twins in or out?
After John Stamos announced that Netflix has ordered a 13-episode season of "Fuller House," the long-awaited sequel to the hit series "Full House," the Internet has been buzzing about who is going to return and who is out.
Netflix said in a statement that producers were in negations with several cast members - Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Lori Loughlin (Rebecca Katsopolis) and Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) - about returning on the show.
But what's a "Full House" reunion without the adorable Michelle Tanner?
In an interview with Women's Wear Daily Tuesday, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who took turns playing Michelle Tanner for eight years, said they had no knowledge of the revival project and only just learned of the sequel when Stamos announced it on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Monday.
"We just found out about it today. I guess we're going to talk to the creators and see what's happening," Mary-Kate said. Ashley chimed in, "I ran into Bob [Saget] the other day and we didn't even talk about it."
Mary-Kate added, "I'm shocked I haven't heard from John [Stamos]."
"Fuller House" will follow Candace Cameron Bure's character, D.J. Tanner, who is a widow living in San Francisco and trying to raise her two sons - rebellious 12-year-old J.D and 7-year-old Max - while pregnant with her third child. Her younger sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) move into the famous family home to help raise her children.
"As big fans of the original Full House, we are thrilled to be able to introduce Fuller House's new narrative to existing fans worldwide, who grew up on the original, as well as a new generation of global viewers that have grown up with the Tanners in syndication," said Cindy Holland, vice president of original content for Netflix.
In a joint statement, executive producers Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller and Jeff Franklin, said, "The continued support of 'Full House' fans of all ages for the last 28 years has been astounding. It is an honor and a thrill to catch up with these beloved characters and explore their lives today. The love you saw on the show was real. The cast has remained a loving family off screen all these years. We are as excited as our fans to finally bring 'Full House' back to life."
"Fuller House" will debut in 2016.
