Last night "The Voice's" coaches and remaining contestants gathered for a special one-night-only concert in West Hollywood.
Billed as the "Spring Break Concert," fans and guests were treated to some of this season's highlight songs, performed by the contestants along with individual performances by Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams.
Although coach Adam Levine was in attendance, and on hand for the coaches group performance of CeeLo Green's "Crazy" (with special guest Green himself), Levine was nursing a fever and had to opt out of his solo song.
Green will also make an appearance on Monday's episode of the "The Voice" along with former coaches Gwen Stefani and Usher, as they guest mentor this season's contestants.
Prior to the show, Shelton admitted to being pumped about the contestants having the opportunity to just go out on stage and perform without the pressure of being judged or anyone being eliminated.
"This should just be fun tonight as it's all about fun and no one going home," Shelton told Headlines & Global News. He also couldn't help throwing down some fighting words to fellow coach Levine.
"But that's really how it's been the whole season for me so far because none of my people have left," he added with a smirk. "Christina can't say the same, neither can the other two, especially Adam. He's one contestant away from really not even being on the show anymore, I mean the guy is basically reduced... I mean Carson [host Carson Daly] is more involved in the show at this point than Adam is. That makes me so happy."
"It's awesome, exciting and freeing," Meghan Linsey revealed to Headlines & Global News of the evening. "There are fans here and we just get to do our thing, and that's really fun."
"It's bringing me back to shows I've done before," added Hannah Kirby. "The outside festival style stage does look familiar. I feel very at home, even though I'm not, I'm just excited to have a good time."
The familiarity of the event also hit home with hopeful Joshua Davis. "I play a lot of festivals, so the outside stage kind of made me homesick," said Davis. "There's no pressure at all in this situation so it's going to be great."
Davis, who eluded elimination last week after winning the Twitter Save, was also quick to add he feels this coming Monday's show will be better. "This week I put my foot down and made sure I was the one picking the song and feeling connected to it," he told Headlines & Global News. "I had an incredible rehearsal this week."
During the evening, Aguilera delivered a roaring version of her 2002 hit "Fighter" complete with backup dancers and all "The Voice" contestants cheering in the crowd.
But before the show Aguilera was reveling in the news that her country song "Shotgun," taken from the "Nashville" soundtrack, had hit No. 3 on the Itunes Country Charts, beating out fellow coach Shelton's "Sangria," which sat at No. 4.
"I'm finally beating Blake at something," she joked to Headlines & Global News. "It's amazing and awesome, but I am milking every second of it."
News Shelton had already heard about. "I know, it's all I've been hearing about," he revealed to Headlines & Global News. "She such an A-hole, and that's why I love her."
Aguilera's three-episode arc as pop diva Jade St. John on the hit ABC series ends this Wednesday, but she's more than happy to gush what an incredible experience it was and well worth the month she spent in Nashville filming it.
"It was a great experience and had so much fun," she tells Headlines & Global News. "Everyone was really welcoming and warm and gave me that southern hospitality thing. It was interesting stepping outside of myself, even though I was playing a 'popstar' who is more into rock while her true heart of hearts lies in country music; it's yet to happen. But it was super fun and I loved everybody."
"The Voice" continues Monday at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC. And catch Aguilera's final "Nashville" appearance Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
