Nothing is known about season two of Marvel's popular and well-received Netflix series "Daredevil." Not even The Man Without Fear himself knows what the new showrunners have planned. But star Charlie Cox did elaborate on what he hopes to see (pun intended) next season.
"I don't imagine this will be the case, but I love it when Spider-Man pops up, and there's one great issue where Matt Murdock has to defend Daredevil and so Peter Parker puts on his suit for him so he can sit in the dock," Cox said in an interview with Screen Rant. "Other than that, I'd like Elektra to turn up."
If we're all being honest, this isn't likely to happen. Spider-Man is a blockbuster film property who may not have time to swing around in television. But, on the other hand, Marvel does seem open to the idea of having big name stars cameo in Netflix series. Benedict Cumberbatch is rumored to be appearing in Marvel's upcoming Netflix series "Iron Fist," so why not Spidey?
"It's not entirely out of the question that Spider-Man could end up making an appearance in Daredevil somewhere down the line, since the character is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe," H. Shaw-Williams of ScreenRant.com wrote. "However, if it does happen then it probably won't be as early as season two.
"Things could also go the other way and Daredevil and The Defenders might have a cameo appearance in Spider-Man; after all, they share a city with the webslinger and they're all attracted to trouble."
