Jeb Bush and George Bush: Potential Presidential Candidate Responds To Brother's Comments on Family Name's Danger

Jeb Bush made a clear statement that if he runs in the 2016 presidential election he would only be running on his own merit and not on the back of his "family name."

In an interview with CBS Miami, he responded to comments made by his brother, former President George W. Bush, that the Bush family name would not help if Jeb decides to run.

The younger Bush said that with due respect to his brother, he would not base his campaign on some "dynastic consideration" but on what his "heart says and what his experiences would tell."

John Ellis "Jeb" Bush made this clarification at the sidelines of his much-awaited lunch with a chosen contestant, who bested 12,331 others for an afternoon chat and lunch with the former Florida governor at the Burger and Beer Joint at South Beach.

Jeb Bush spent the afternoon meal of Paleo-diet-approved bison burger wrapped in lettuce with his supporter Zeus Rodriguez. Rodriguez is the president of Hispanics for School Choice in Wisconsin.

Rodriguez's wife, Dana, also joined in the simple lunch, which Bush said was intended to keep up with supporters and knowing them further.

Rodriguez, who is also the former president of the country's largest K-12 Catholic school system, Milwaukee's St. Anthony School, cited Bush's holistic experience and what he did for the state of Florida when he was governor from 1999 to 2007.

Bush has not announced his candidacy, but the gathering at the 1 Hotel South Beach, supporters were there for two days to talk and discuss possibilities and causes, the New York Times reported.
