Who let the dogs out, again?
This pit bull ambassador lets his pit bulls out every day sporting sunglasses in San Francisco, Calif.
Jason Saola, the pit bull ambassador, walks his pups Orange Juice and Psycho who wear snazzy shades made just for dogs down the streets of downtown San Francisco.
"I love the reaction when people come up to me," Saola told SF Chronicle. "Sometimes it's the first time they've seen dogs in sunglasses."
Saola told SF Chronicle that he started letting his pit bulls wear shades on their walks to prove how fun and friendly the breed can be when raised in a loving environment.
At most animal shelters pit bulls are one of the most common breeds to be "at risk" because the stigma that the pups are dangerous deter adopters, according to ASPCA.
Saola's approach to combat this stereotype, as silly as it may seem, appears to be working.
"They look dangerous, but they're actually friendly," Stuart Dietrich, a local who frequently sees the pups wearing sunglasses, told SF Chronicle. "They need a lot of love just like we all do."
If Dietrich's statement isn't proof enough, look how lovable the pit bulls look in this slow motion video:
