The military aircraft that had disappeared from tracking radar while over the English Channel has safely landed in Britain, the Daily Mail reports.
The refueling jet returned to its base at RAF Mildenhall, Suffolk, according to the Mirror. No injuries were reported, according to a statement by the 100th Air Refuelling Wing.
Why the aircraft called an emergency and fell off the radar is still unknown, but a spokesman told the Daily Mail that an investigation is underway.

According to the Daily Express, the Ministry of Defence said it did not have an information about the seemingly disappeared jet.
U.S. Air Force C-135 took off from northern France just after midnight local time and then disappeared 15 minutes later.
The Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker left Amiens at 12:05 a.m. local time as was last seen on a flight tracking website at 12:20 a.m. between Dover and Calais, according to the Daily Mail. The Boeing aircraft is used to refuel jets mid-flight and hold up to 31,000 gallons of fuel.
The Daily Express stated the U.S. Air Force declined to comment. The plane, which uses the callsign QiD72, declared an emergency while flying over the English Channel, but the reason for the emergency call is still unknown.
