Former "Baywatch" star and Playboy Playmate Pamela Anderson and her poker player husband Rick Salomon have officially ended their second marriage. The 47-year old stars finalized their divorce last Monday.
"Public divorces can be harsh and cruel. We apologize to our family and friends for any hurt and embarrassment we have caused. We have come to an amicable agreement and are moving on," the couple said in a joint statement published on Yahoo Celebrity.
This is Anderson and Salomon's second marriage to each other. They first tied the knot in 2007, which was annulled just two months after the wedding. The second wedding took place in January 2014, with Anderson again filing for divorce six months later. But in August 2014, the actress petitioned for the filing's dismissal after the two reconciled.
Anderson filed for divorce from Salomon again in February of this year, citing irreconcilable differences. This filing further strained the couple's relationship, and according to People, Anderson secured a temporary restraining order against Salomon last March, allegeding he was abusive and that she was "scared of what he is capable of doing to me." The actress then secured an extension of the restraining order in April.
In the court documents, Salomon called Anderson a "serial baby killer with her husbands." Anderson later said in a statement that her ex-husband's claims are ridiculous and are unworthy of a response.
