"American Idol" bid farewell to Tyanna Jones, an early frontrunner, last night while Rayvon Owen survived his fifth straight week in the bottom two, but this time without the Twitter save.
The "Idol" contestants performed two songs each - one dedicated to the judges' hometown and another that revealed their "soul." All of the singers achieved that elusive "Idol Moment" with their performances, even for Jones in her swan song, "Rule the World (Girls)" by Beyoncé.
For perennial bottom two singer, Rayvon Owen, the night ended on another high note. After being awarded the fan Twitter save for the last four consecutive weeks, he found himself in the bottom two again, but with no Twitter save left to bail him out.
His fate was anyone's guess.
Fortunately for Owen, America finally awarded him the votes necessary to move on to the Top 4. Host Ryan Seacrest also provided him the card that revealed America voted for him to stick around one more week.
"I'm definitely keeping that card," Owen told Headlines & Global News exclusively. "For me that card represents perseverance, strength and getting to this point, regardless of what happens in the future. It's such a meaningful thing and something I'm going to keep for the rest of my life."
Owen added, "It's a little like a medal of honor and I'm so glad Ryan handed it to me to keep. it's an amazing souvenir!"
The road to an "American Idol" championship may be over, but Jones will return in two weeks to perform during the finale. Rehearsals start next Monday, so she won't be gone long.

Judges' Hometown Songs
Clark Beckham - "Living For The City" by Stevie Wonder
"Everybody talks about how Stevie wonder made the best music, and to me music is returning to that style, so why not make it today? I did some stuff I'd always wanted to do on that stage in that song," Beckham said.
Jax - "Empire State Of Mind" by Alicia Keys
"I love that it was the Alicia Keys breakdown part two and not the original version. I love that it's J Lo's hometown, New York, and I really love that song and wanted to get on the keys a little bit," Jax said.
Nick Fradiani - "Bright Lights" by Matchbox Twenty
"That was the most fun I've had on that stage. The band killed it and got me in my zone. I held off doing that song because I didn't want to get the comparisons. I've admired Rob Thomas since I was a kid," Fradiani said. "I know I emulated what he does and that was my favorite band in high school. It's also my favorite Matchbox Twenty song, so I wanted to do it and have fun with it."
Tyanna Jones - "Run The World (Girls)" by Beyoncé
"I'm just so happy that everybody enjoyed it. I've always wanted to do that song and was so happy I got the chance. I'm not happy about the fact I have to leave, but I am happy it was my goodbye song because it was kind of like saying I'm not leaving sad, I'm going with a bang," Jones said.
Rayvon Owen: "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum
"It's a blur. I was saved by America's votes! If I only got to sing one song tonight I would've sung 'Believe', which is what I was really looking forward to tonight. Just to honor my mom and share that moment with her in front of people," Owen said.
Soul 'Gravy' Songs
Clark Beckham - "Your Man" by Josh Turner.
"Both songs felt great, I did what I wanted to do and there were a couple of highlights in each song. I wanted to do well and I feel that I did," Beckham said.
Jax - "Human" by Christina Perri.
"That was a whole other ballgame for me because I felt it was a moment that I wanted to accomplish and I did. That makes me happy, I wanted people to get me, understand me and relate to me and to any pain that I felt and any imperfection. Just for people to see themselves as much as human as I am," Jax said.
"I don't think I'll ever fit in with that whole celebrity lifestyle, I'm just a regular person, I was a younger girl watching the show just a couple of years ago."
Rayvon Owen - "Believe" by Justin Bieber
"That was the song I wanted to do all night and I think I really had a moment. All I remember is my mom couldn't stop crying afterwards, she could barely speak," Owen said.
Nick Fradiani - "What Hurts the Most" by Rascal Flatts
"With that one I tried to get emotional and felt I really connected with the song. It's taken a little while to really invest in songs that aren't mine, so I researched the song and the songwriter Jeffrey Steele, who wrote a lot of rascal Flatt's' songs. He wrote it about the death of his son, so it's an emotional song," Fradiani said.
"I felt I couldn't just go through the motions with that song so I invested in it and felt very passionate. It seemed to go over well."
The four finalists will perform three songs next week: one chosen by the judges, one by mentor Scott Borchetta and another that pay homage to their own hometowns.
"American Idol" airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
