In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight," the 25-year-old country-turned-pop singer revealed that she and Kanye West are interested in releasing music together.
Kim Kardashian's rapper husband, 37, reportedly promised Swift that the two would initiate the process in the near future.
"He's one of those people that's just like idea, idea, idea. Like, 'What do you think of this? What do you think of that?'" Swift said, according to Us Weekly.
"He's very creative and like, I think we've talked about it but we've also talked about so many other things. I think I completely respect his vision as a producer. So, that's all I know now. I have no idea what the next album's gonna be, though."
The news may come as a surprise to fans of both artists, as when Taylor Swift first emerged onto the scene as an up and coming force to be reckoned with, Kanye stole the spotlight and totally ruined her special moment at the 2009 MTV VMAs.
West took the stage when Swift was about to accept her Best Female Video award for "You Belong With Me," and stated that Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" should have won instead.
"Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm going to let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time," he shouted. "One of the best videos of all time!"
At the end of the show, Beyoncé was courteous enough to invite Swift back up to the stage to have her moment when Beyoncé won Video of the Year, Us Weekly reported.
"I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV award for Destiny's Child and it was one of the most exciting moments of my life," she said at the time. "So I would like for Taylor to come out and have her moment."
"Maybe we could try this again?" Swift said as the crowd cheered.
Swift began her career as a self-identified country artist, and her music was well-received from the get-go. She quickly rose to stardom and chose to break into the world of pop last year, a decision that was scrutinized, but her music and reputation has never faltered.
She saw huge success with the 2014 release of her album "1989" and hits like "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space." Swift is accustomed to seeing her songs skyrocket to the top of every music hit list.
"1989" was No. 1 on the Billboard 200, as were her previous albums "Red," "Speak Now" and "Fearless."
So, what else can we expect? Can she outdo her previous melodies?
"I'm not making the next record yet," she said. "That's going to take a lot of thinking about what that should be, because with 1989, I love this album so much that I think it would be doing a real disservice to this album to try and copy it the next time around. I think it's going to have to be something very, very different, creatively."
Swift kicks off her "1989 World Tour" next week.
