Chennai still sits atop the IPL standings with a 6-2 record, but the team heads into Saturday's contest looking to bounce back from its seven-wicket loss against Kolkata on Thursday. Bowling proved to be the biggest problem Thursday for the Super Kings, something which skipper MS Dhoni elaborated on after the match.
"We lost a few wickets, but we also wanted to attack," he said, according to CricBuzz.com "We want to be a bit more aggressive, especially when we are on top of the points table. (Ravindra) Jadeja didn't bowl that well today, he went for a few runs today. The wrist spinners get slightly more purchase. The wicket got much better as the game progressed. (Pawan) Negi bowled well, I thought his spell was good. (Ravichandran) is injured now and we will evaluate how quick is he healing to decide on his future."
Hyderabad, meanwhile, is sixth in the league standings with a 3-4 record following its 20-run win Monday against Punjab. Trent Boult earned the Man of the Match award for his bowling numbers, which included three wickets and 19 runs.
