Jennifer Lopez sparked her career playing the legendary Selena Quintanilla in the 1997 film, "Selena." She channeled the late pop star once again in a moving tribute at last night's Billboard Latin Music Awards.
Lopez performed a beautiful medley of Selena's greatest hits accompanied by the Quintanilla family band, Los Dinos, that included "Como La Flor," "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom," "Amor Prohibido," "I Could Fall in Love" and "No Me Queda Mas." The awards ceremony was honoring the Latin singer, who died from a gunshot would inflicted by her friend Yolanda Saldívar.
J Lo never sang any of Selena's songs in the movie, but lip-synced to the singer's original recordings. The "American Idol" judge has performed her songs live since then.
