There is no stopping Ms. Britney Spears.
The 33-year-old hitmaker made an unexpected visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday to give fans an update on her ankle injury. Last week, the pop princess rolled her ankle during a performance at her sold-out "Piece of Me" show at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
"I actually wasn't doing anything that hard," Spears told DeGeneres. "I was just kind of bopping around. And I've done like eight years worth of shows. Plenty of shows! And I've never actually fell onstage, so it was really kind of embarrassing. But yeah, I fell down and I got up, and my dancers kind of guided me to keep going."
Sadly, Spears revealed that she "tore some ligament" during her fall. The "Crazy" singer was forced to cancel several shows as she recovered from her injury.
After her performance, Spears reached out to fans via Twitter to thank them for their support, writing, "Breaks my heart to share this news. After hurting my ankle last night my doctor has advised me not to perform this weekend #Heartbroken. Your kind words mean everything to me! I'm rescheduling this weekend's shows and will let ya'll know when we have the new dates. xoxo."
However, the show must go on - especially since Spears signed a two-year Vegas deal reportedly worth around $15 million per year, according to Billboard. Spears revealed to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" audience that she has extended her residency at Planet Holiday "for three more months.
