Adrienne Bailon decided to reveal what really happened between her and "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Rob Kardashian.
The 29-year-old ex-Cheetah Girl member said on her new talk show "The Real," that she had to create a fake boyfriend so Rob Kardashian would leave her alone, US Weekly reports. She decided to share the news because on a recently aired episode of the reality show, Kardashian read a letter out loud that he received in 2010 from Bailon's supposed boyfriend.
In the letter the "boyfriend" warned the reality star to "stop calling" because she had moved on. The singer said she ever had a boyfriend at that time.
"What all ya'll thought was that it was written by my boyfriend. It was not written by a boyfriend," she said. "That was written by me and my girl sitting on the sofa one day deciding to ourselves, 'Well, how can we make him stop calling me?'"
"I was my own boyfriend," she continued adding that she though the plan worked because he left her alone.
She said she did briefly regret sending the letter because at that time it was rumored that she was dating rapper Fabolous who ended up getting pinned with the emailed threat.
Bailon and Kardashian famously dated for two years. They ended their relationship in 2010 after she discovered that the Kardashian brother had cheated on her. The constant phone calling Bailon was referring to was caught on camera for an episode of the reality show three years ago.
"The reason I'm calling Adrienne so much is because I want her to see how much I truly care and how much I truly want to be with her," Kardashian said to the camera. "I want to get my girl back."
"I was embarrassed and basically said, 'I want nothing to do with you'," Bailon recalled on the "The Real. "
