The Los Angeles Clippers play the Houston Rockets on Wednesday in Game 2 of their second-round series. The 2015 NBA playoff game tips off at 9:30 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream or listen to the radio broadcast via the links provided below.
Los Angeles didn't need Chris Paul to open the series with a win. The Clippers struggled in the first half before taking over the game after halftime and cruising to a 117-101 victory, largely thanks to Blake Griffin's triple-double of 26 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists. The absence of Paul (hamstring) shifted things so that the Clippers' offense ran through Griffin, a role he looked at ease with on the court.
"He's incredible. He gets in the middle of the field and kind of just picks people apart like Tom Brady," teammate Matt Barnes told the Associated Press. "That's like a grown man triple-double right there."
Like a true leader, Griffin seemed to shrug off the praise and instead credited the win to his teammates.
"Without Chris, everybody has to step up," Griffin said. "But it's not one person's job, it's everybody's job. And if you look at the stat sheet tonight, it was everybody."
Jamal Crawford scored 21 points off the bench, Barnes scored 20 and both J.J. Redick and Austin Rivers scored 17.
The Rockets, meanwhile, looked sluggish from six-day layoff. Perhaps underestimating the Paul-less Clippers, Houston looked lackadaisical in the first quarter and was never able to match the energy of Los Angeles. Dwight Howard led with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while James Harden was limited to just 20 points.
