Manchester United Transfer NEWS: Mats Hummels of Dortmund Next Target? Club Lands Memphis Depay From PSV Eindhoven

Manchester United and PSV Eindhoven agreed to a deal on Thursday that will send striker Memphis Depay to Old Trafford, but Louis van Gaal and co. aren't finished yet. They're also targeting a Bundesliga defender currently a member of Dortmund.

Both Man U and PSV confirmed the deal for Depay, which is subject to a medical once the summer transfer window opens on July 1. The 21-year-old has scored 21 goals and notched four assists in 28 games with PSV in the Netherlands' Eredivisie this season.

De Telegraaf reported United have agreed to pay €30 million to PSV.

Depay has ties to Van Gaal because the striker played with the Netherlands national team (which Van Gaal also manages) in the 2014 World Cup and scored goals in matches against Australia and Chile. He has experience playing as a winger or center forward, which will make Man U's offense more versatile, especially since he'll be alongside Angel Di Maria, Juan Mata, Ashley Young and Adnan Januzaj.

The acquisition of Depay has perhaps put the futures of strikers Radamel Falcao and Nani into question.

United and Van Gaal apparently will not stop with their move that yielded them Depay. It has also been said Man U are going after Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, who is signed with the German club through 2017. However, the defenseman told kicker that he's pondering his future with Dortmund in March and his departure is apparently getting closer to becoming a reality.

According to Metro's Jamie Sanderson, who translated a feature article from Sport Bild, "Manchester United are closing in on the double signing of Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels" and "would be paying about £48.5million for both."

Gundogan, 24, also plays for Dortmund and has logged three goals and three assists as a midfielder in 20 Bundesliga matches this season.

These two potential acquisitions would help fulfill Man U's wish list of signing a striker, right-back and central defender. ESPNFC also confirmed the news of Hummels' link to Old Trafford.

"German publication Sport Bild has claimed that a deal to take Hummels to United is drawing ever closer."

As the transfer window grows nearer, these potential deals could come to fruition soon.
