U.S. Elections 2016: Carly Fiorina Has Some Fun With Her Critics Over 'Domain Gate'

Carly Fiorina has taken a lot of heat after recently admitting that she and her team failed to secure the domain name carlyfiorina.org –especially after one of her critics used it against her to post the fact that the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard once laid off 30,000 people. the post came on the same day the GOP presidential hopeful announced her candidacy.

So when she agreed to a guest appearance Wednesday on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," she knew she would be asked about the issue and came prepared with an unexpected reply.

Sure enough, Meyers asked her about the domain name mishap, which Fiorina laughingly coined "domain gate," but Fiorina replied, "Do you know who owns sethmeyers.org?"

Meyers didn't know but Fiorina did. "I do," she said. "I just bought it in the green room," MSNBC reports.

Fiorina also guested at "Meet the Press" with Chuck Todd on Sunday where the host immediately grilled her about her failure to register the domain name.

After the interview, Fiorina took to Twitter and thanked Todd for inviting her. She ended her tweet with, "Btw, check out chucktodd.org," followed by hashtag #domaingate.

As it turned out, Fiorina now owns both sethmeyers.org and chucktodd.org – and both sites redirect to her official campaign website carlyforpresident.com, according to Reuters.

All of this has people wondering if Fiorina also owns hillaryclinton.net, which likewise redirects to Fiorina's campaign website, but her staff has denied being behind it. The owner of the site is not known, and nobody knows when it started to redirect to carlyforpresident.com, according to MSNBC.
