A previously unheard tape recording of Monica Lewinsky attempting to convince former President Bill Clinton to set up a meeting where she would take her "clothes off" has been obtained by the National Enquirer, according to the New York Daily News.
The audio recording was thought to have been destroyed years ago. The tape was made after Lewinsky and Clinton had been together but prior to their affair becoming public. The tape was recorded in November 1997; the last tryst between the two was in March of the same year. The tape was addressed to "Handsome," according to The New York Daily News.
Compared to some of the chat sessions that have been recently released involving Anthony Weiner the audio tape recorded by Lewinsky is relatively tame. That doesn't mean that it isn't a bit racy though.
"I could take my clothes off and start...well...I know you wouldn't enjoy that? I hope to see you later and I hope you will follow my script and do what I want," Lewinsky said on the tape, according to Radar.
On the tape Lewinsky tells Clinton that he should get his secretary to arrange a meeting between the two that would allow Lewinsky to bypass signing the formal record. Lewinsky also seems to want to make sure that others aren't around the office when she shows up, according to Radar.
"Now, the first thing that has to happen is that you need to pre-plan with Betty that you will leave the office at, I don't know, at 7, 7:30 so that everyone else who hates me that causes me lots of trouble goes home," Lewinsky said. "Then you quickly sneak back and then in the meantime I quickly sneak over and then we have a nice little visit for, you know, 15 minutes or half an hour. Whatever you want."
The source obtained the tape, as well as other mementoes including love letters Lewinsky wrote to the president, after being hired as a "cleaner" by people close to Lewinsky, according to Radar.
It will be interesting to see if the revelation of this tape has any sort of effect on Hilary Clinton's potential presidential run in 2016. The source told the National Enquirer that this revelation has the potential to sidetrack Hilary's campaign and may just be the tip of the iceberg, according to the Daily Mail.
"The Clintons thought this sex tape was dead and buried," the source said. "If this tape and other material are surfacing now, imagine what else must be out there."
