Hell's Kitchen will have another rogue crime fighter roaming the streets.
SpoilerTV has revealed the first synopsis for "A.K.A. Jessica Jones," the new Netflix series from Marvel, which will keep the action located in the same New York City neighborhood as its first show, "Daredevil."
The Marvel series will center on Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) as she works to transition from her short-lived stint as a superhero that ended in tragedy. She's rebuilding her personal life and career as a "hot-tempered, sardonic, bada** private detective in Hell's Kitchen" while plagued by self-loathing and a "wicked case of PTSD." Jessica will battle the "demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need... especially if they're willing to cut her a check."
Production started last month on the streets of New York. Ritter filmed scenes with her co-stars Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and David Tennant (Zebediah Kilgrave). Colter will later star in his own "Luke Cage" series on Netflix before reteaming with Ritter in "The Defenders" miniseries alongside Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil and the uncast Iron Fist.
"A.K.A. Jessica Jones" will premiere its 13-episode first season later this year on Netflix.
