The 2013 Swimming World Championships continue on Thursday from Barcelona. The events begin at 12 p.m. ET. Below is the schedule of events. Watch the live stream HERE.
As of Wednesday morning, the U.S. sits at the top of the standings with five gold medals. Behind Nathan Adrian, Ryan Lochte, Missy Franklin and Katie Ledecky, the U.S. is poised to further its lead on Thursday with more medals.
The U.S. made history earlier this week during the meet. Ledecky, 16, obliterated the world record in the 1,500 free style by more than six seconds. Her performance at the world championships has catapulted her into the spotlight as one of the nation's top distance swimmers.
"It was motivating watching Katie destroy the world record from the ready room," swimmer Matt Grevers said, via ESPN. "That really got us psyched up."
