Milwaukee Bucks RUMORS: Not Sold On Michael Carter-Williams; Frank Kaminsky Top Target In 2015 NBA Draft?

The Milwaukee Bucks reportedly aren't sold on Michael Carter-Williams and might decide to look for a new point guard in the offseason. With Utah center Jakob Poeltl choosing to remain in college for another season, Milwaukee is said to be eying Wisconsin star center Frank Kaminsky in the upcoming 2015 NBA draft.

Carter-Williams hasn't been bad for the Bucks. He averaged 15.1 points and 5.7 assists from the start of March through mid-April, and he averaged 12.2 points and 4.8 assists over Milwaukee's six first-round playoff games against Chicago. The numbers weren't staggering, but they certainly weren't disheartening given the limited time - Philadelphia traded Carter-Williams on Feb. 19 - he had in the Bucks' system.

Milwaukee, though, doesn't necessarily see it that way. According to Gery Woelfel of the Milwaukee Journal Times, the Bucks may have their eye open this offseason for another guard.

"There are some NBA officials, though, who contend the Bucks aren't totally sold on Carter-Williams, just like they weren't completely sold on Brandon Knight, whom they dealt to Phoenix in the deal in February," Woelfel wrote Sunday.

Milwaukee would almost certainly have to make a trade if it wanted to bring in a new backcourt addition. The point guard market in free agency this season will be sparse, and the Bucks' No. 17 pick of the draft is too high to land Emmanuel Mudiay or D'Angelo Russell, the two best guards in the 2015 class.

Seemingly with that in mind, Milwaukee reportedly has its eyes set on a more realistic target in the draft: Kaminsky.

"According to sources, the Bucks had more than a passing interest in the 7-foot Poeltl, a native of Austria who averaged 9.1 points and 6.8 rebounds as a freshman this season," Woelfel wrote. "According to several scouts, the only center who could now be chosen in the middle of the first round -- the Bucks have the 17th overall selection - is Frank Kaminsky of Wisconsin."

Kaminsky would be a crowd favorite, but nobody expects him to come into the league and make an impact right away, meaning the Bucks would still need to find a starting-caliber replacement for Larry Sanders.

The NBA draft is on June 25.
